Testing of modified Iontosorb resins for its use in diffusive gradient in thin films technique
Szkandera, Roman ; Řezáčová, Veronika (referee) ; Diviš, Pavel (advisor)
6-mercaptopurine was joined by diazotation and copulation reactions on Iontosorb AV. Presence of thiol groups in modified resin was showed by infrared spectrometry. Amount of thiol groups was determined by iodometric titration. Resin gel was preparated from modified resin and agarose and both of them were tested for mercury determination by DGT technique.
Study of the adheisve affinity into the wood cell wall at the sub-microstructural level
Mitrenga, Ondřej ; Rovnaník, Pavel (referee) ; Vaněrek, Jan (advisor)
This thesis focuses on the problematic of adhesive affinity into wood cell wall at the sub-microstructural level. The main subject of this thesis is research work of scholarly articles focused on the penetration of resins and polymers into the cell wall of the wood. In contains a description of the principles on which the used methods are based, and a summary of the results achieved. In the experiment, several method were used to investigate the possible penetration of selected methods adhesives into the structure of the cell wall. These are fluorescence microscopy, confocal microscopy, scannin electron microscopy (SEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM).
Present state of investment casting technology - wax patterns
Procházka, Zdeněk ; Helán, Jiří (referee) ; Horáček, Milan (advisor)
The subject dealt with in the bachelor degree thesis covers technology of investment casting with a special focus to the problem of wax patterns. Based on expert analysis, this case study focuses on the most advanced facilities and materials used for this particular phase of technology as well as basic methods of wax materials testing.
Design of compact MSLA 3D printer
Korábová, Anežka ; Křenek, Ladislav (referee) ; Haltof, Vladimír (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with design of compact MSLA 3D printer. Main goal of this thesis is to design MSLA 3D printer with emphasis on print quality and minimal easy maintenance. Design is based on gained knowledge from analyse of current products and their technology. Design takes account of the ergonomic aspects and brings new constructional solutions of inner components. The application of the product is not only for designers and modelers, but also for handymen and 3D print enthusiasts.
DLP LCD 3D Printer
Brandejs, Petr ; Jaššo, Kamil (referee) ; Bayer, Robert (advisor)
This project deals with DLP 3D printing and designing a 3D printer based on this technology. It consists of a glimpse across different 3D printing technologies, their comparison and reasoning behind chosing a DLP printer. Project then follows with design of individual component based on specific parameters needed for this application and price optimization. It ends with a review of the machine.
Properties of Fiber Reinforced Plastics
Jastrzembská, Alena ; Petránek, Vít (referee) ; Bodnárová, Lenka (advisor)
This thesis deals with the theoretical part of raw materials, production and properties of composite materials with fiber reinforcement and polymer matrix. It also gives a brief overview of selected prominent Czech and foreign producers of composite materials with polymer matrix and fiber reinforcement. The practical section deals with testing the durability of selected composite profiles immersion in aggressive environments and testing of compressive strength.
Replacing of metal sheets with laminates
Ulrich, Josef ; Němec, Karel (referee) ; Molliková, Eva (advisor)
The aim of the bachelor´s thesis is composite material, specifically fiberglass. In the first part of this thesis fiberglass is described, their composition, chosen production technology and possibility of use. Mechanical properties and its advantages of fibreglass are compared with metal sheets. Fibreglass is described on example of particular component.
Potting Compounds for Power Electronics
Štajner, David ; Červinka, Dalibor (referee) ; Vašíček, Adam (advisor)
Potting compounds are often used in electrotechnics to protect the electronics from the adverse effects, improves its insulating properties and helps to improve the heat transfer from the embedded devices in the surroundings. Embedding electronics into encapsulants extend the field of application. Such electronics can then be used in wet, dusty, corrosive or otherwise harsh environments.
The diploma thesis was prepared in cooperation with Atemit. The thesis describes the specific composition and properties of polymer industrial substrates from Atemit research.
Šácha, Dominik ; Tesařík, Miroslav (referee) ; Bodnárová, Lenka (advisor)
This diploma thesis has goal to find out possibility of substitution sand in polymer crete flooring system by recycling car glass. Polymer crete is made from sand and epoxy resin. Companies use it in industrial flooring system. Polymercrete industrial flooring systems are new types of floor surface. It aims to customers with high requirements to floor properties and short time of realisation. Polymercrete floors are 4-6 mm thin. They are waterproof, they has higher compressive strength then 60 MPa and tensile strength is more than 20 MPa. Polymercretes does not make dust. This study includes also suggestion of recycling process to make glass sand from car glass windows. The diploma thesis was prepared in cooperation with company Atemit, s.r.o.
Flame retardant treated thermosets for composite materials used in transport industry
Novotný, Kamil ; Kučera, František (referee) ; Poláček, Petr (advisor)
First part of this bachelor‘s thesis contains a literature review, which describes basic mechanisms of flame retardancy, distribution of flame retardants into groups based on their composition and commercially available compounds. Experimental part studied the change of thermal stability and flammability of a thermoset resin with the adition of flame retardants. Change in mechanical properties of the resin was investigated as well. Epoxy resin was selected as a specimen of the resin group due to its excellent properties, which make it widely used in transportation industry. The main disadvantage of epoxy is its high flammability. The effect of two low cost, eco-friendly, easily applicable flame retardants was observed, namely expanded graphite and magnesium hydroxide. Materials were evaluated by a burning test, tensile test and thermogravimetric analysis. Overall, the additives caused a decrease in mechanical properties. Material with a combination of both compounds was found to be the least flammable, but had the worst mechanical properties.
